Applied Aeshetics & Beauty Therapy
(1 Year with a prerequisite of an appropriate 2-year Programme of study, Higher Diploma)

The course of study has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture and it is registered in the official Register of Private Tertiary Educational Institutes. (ref. M.Ed.&C.PITE 7.14.11.19.6.3, 30 July 2003).

Applied Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy is a post-diploma course of study leading to a Higher Diploma qualification. It is offered to students who successfully complete a two- year course of study and also to working professionals, holders of a beauty therapy diploma who wish to pursue higher studies in Beauty Therapy.

Purposes and Targets of the programme

The programme is of high quality and standard and in accordance to the European standards of education and training. The quality is based on the structure and content of the analytical programmes, the equipment, the efficient teaching and training and the combination of theory and practise.

The purpose of the programme, is to give students a high level training, further to the basic two- year training, providing them with the necessary knowledge and technical skills and enabling them to offer quality services in their profession to competendly meet market demand.

Targets of the programme are:

  • To increase and upgrade the knowledge and skills of the students/professionals in beauty therapy so that they can offer quality and high level contemporary services
  • To provide students/professionals with the ability to sufficiently develop and apply the technical skills in various new subjects with new techniques, methods and technology.
  • To offer students/professionals the knowledge and the ability to understand further the holistic principles and complimentary therapies within the beauty therapy spectrum.
  • To teach students/professionals specialised subjects in Beauty Therapy giving them the possibility to offer a large variety of beauty therapy services.
  • To offer further education for effective organisation and management of the beauty salon possessing a correct attitude and professionalism towards their clients.
  • To equip students/professionals with high qualifications in their profession to be capable to offer quality services and secure responsible positions in their work with steady advancenent.

Duration of the programme
The duration of the programme is one academic year.
