Students Financial Obligations

Fees and registrations
The fees for every academic year are prepaid. Upon a special agreement, the fees may be paid in monthly instalments (not applicable for overseas students) as follows:

a) Upon registration, the registration fee and the down payment is paid.
b) The balance of the fees is paid in 8 equal instalments, from 1st until 5th of each month- starting from October and ending in May.

The total amount of fees includes the registration fees, beauty items and cosmetic products used during the practical training at the college. Upon registration the students accept and undertake the responsibility to pay in full the total amount of fees for their course/ programme of study.

Not compliance of the students to the above mentioned financial obligations would automatically result in a complete loss of their rights at the college (i.e. participation in classes and examinations, information on grades, awards of titles of study etc).

The amount of fees paid by the students is the same irrespective of the date of registration. If a student is registered after the 1st of October, should also pay the fees of previous months.

Any pre/ registration fees, deposits, tuition and/ or other fees and dues are not refundable The college has the right to demand the payment of any amount or balance of any fees and any other balances due, in case a student leaves the college, willingly or otherwise, or, is suspended/ dismissed from the college for any reason.

The college sets the tuition and registration fees every year, which are approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Scholarships

The College offers a number of the scholaships in the form of a reduction in the tuition fees and/ or in other dues, every year.

Selection Criteria

a) Secondary school graduate
b) Age 17-22 years
c) Excellent character
d) Apolyterion (school leaving certificate) average grading, at least 18/20
e) Child from a poor family

In the form of prize money for outstanding performance.

Selection Criteria

a) College graduate in the two-year course of studies
b) Good character and outstanding performance, having achieved the highest final grades.

If the candidates who are eligible for award are more than the number of the awarded scholarships and they are of equal performance, the Board of Directors may distribute the scholarship in a way to equally cover all candidates.

Attendance

The attendance at the college is five days a week. There are classes in the morning, afternoon and/ or evening.

Attendance is obligatory for all the subjects taught. The students are encouraged to regularly and punctually attend classes and participate in all scheduled theoretical and practical subjects.

The regular attendance is considered very important for good performance in practicals, tests and theoretical examinations. If a student is absent from a class, the school must be informed as soon as possible and upon return must present a confirmation by the parent or guardian, justifying the absence.

Absence due to illness should also be reported to the college and an official medical confirmation should be presented. Absenteeism beyond the allowable number by the internal regulations of the college may result in exclusion from examinations, reference to a next examination period and also in academic failure.

The transfer of a student in an accredited programme of study is only allowed from an accredited programme offered in Cyprus or abroad.

Discipline

The students must fully comply with the rules and regulations of the college. They must show good character and proper behaviour in class and in the other places of the college, to respect each other and respect a nd obey to the management, the teachers/ trainers, the administrative and other personnel of the college and to actively show interest for their studies, to follow and conform with hygiene and safety regulations and in general, to comply with the regulations and instructions set by the college.

The college reserves the right to impose any reasonable punishment to any student and reserve the right to suspend and/ or dismiss any student from the school for insubordination to the rules and regulations of the college, for unsatisfactory academic performance in class or in examinations, frequent or unjustified absences, improper or indecent behaviour, lack of honesty, for disciplinary problems, not compliance to their financial obligations or for any other reason, in order to maintain a satisfactory standard of education and training and good behaviour in compliance to the regulations of the college.

The college reserves the right to demand from any student or group of students, payment for damages inflicted on college property.

Events

The management of the college in cooperation with the students committees organises various social and entertaining events, excursions, walks, etc. for the educational and social entertainment of the students.

Professional placement service

The main purpose of this service is to provide to students guidance and assistance for a suitable placement.

The college informs interested students for vacancies and put them in contact with prospective employers who are interested to employ graduates of the college.

This placement service system in conjunction with the well known to the market quality training offered by the college, has helped a large number of graduates to secure employment in the beauty industry. The support towards the college graduates continuous also during their employment.

Library

The college maintains a lending library with beauty therapy books and magazines and a variety of other books of relevant professions for the support of the students. A number of publications, magazines and journals are received on a monthly basis.

Cafeteria

The college provides space which students can use during their break or their free time.
